All are invited to virtually attend Dickenson College’s Science-Based Choices for Climate Action, Insights from the IPCC 6th Assessment Report, October 24-26. We welcome students from secondary schools, undergraduate colleges, and graduate studies, faculty, and community members near and far to attend this free symposium, either in-person or virtually via livestream. Come for one session, a half-day, a full day, two days, or all three days. The symposium will feature leading experts on climate science, risks, solutions, and policies, including many of the authors of the newest reports from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), who will engage each other and the audience in conversations about the latest scientific findings, why they matter, and how they can be used to mobilize more ambitious and equitable actions on climate change.
Register in advance: We are asking everyone to register in advance, whether you will attend in-person or watch the livestream. Both are free. You may register here: https://www.dickinson.edu/climatesymposium. Details of the symposium program are accessible from the same web-link.
If you have trouble with the online system for requesting tickets or registering to view the livestream, you may email sustainability@dickinson.edu to let us know which sessions you wish to attend, whether you wish to attend in-person or watch the livestream, and, if you also wish to register a group of students or colleagues, how many registrations you are requesting.
Inquiries about the symposium may be directed to Neil Leary, learyn@dickinson.edu.
