A celebration of oaks, and Evanston becoming an NWF Community Wildlife Habitat, we are planning to have engagement tables about migratory birds and pollinators, how to grow healthy gardens, natural areas to explore in Evanston, the city climate action plan, recycling and more. There will be music, food and kids’ activities like scavenger hunts and such. We will be giving away 115 trees and shrubs (one each, while supplies last), and the mayor will be there to proclaim Evanston an NWF Community Wildlife Habitat. Free.
