Gillson Beach Clean Up

Go Green Wilmette resumes twice monthly beach clean ups at Gillson Beach beginning June 6 from 10am to noon. Look for our table at the south end of the park. Bring reusable gloves (not single-use plastic gloves) and a bucket or container to collect micro-plastic pieces that wash up during every storm. Please have a mask on hand in case it’s needed for the safety of all. You are also encouraged to collect garbage any time you are at the lake. Take photos of what you find and tag #GGWBeachCleanup on Facebook or Instagram. Mark you calendar for future dates on June 20, July 11 & 25, and August 8 & 22.
