Break Free from Plastic Pollution Act webinar

This webinar will educate participants on the Break Free from Plastic Pollution Act, which was introduced in Congress earlier this year. The bill sets forth requirements regarding waste and collection systems; makes producers of certain (single-use/foodservice) products fiscally responsible for collecting, managing, and recycling or composting the products after consumer use; phases out a variety of single-use products (like utensils) as of Jan. 1, 2022; creates a temporary moratorium on new or expanded permits for plastic-manufacturing facilities; requires the EPA to establish guidelines for a national standardized labeling system for recycling and composting; and limits the export of plastic waste to other countries.
