Collaborative Conversations: Anti-Racism & the Environment

January 28, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

$5

This is the third session in a virtual workshop series regarding environmental inequity in local green space and how participants can build an anti-racism practice. This session (“Owning Anti-Racism Work”) will include a collective discussion by participants on how to build and sustain their own anti-racism practice. Session #1 (“Equity & the Environment”) featured award-winning educator and artist Jose Gonzalez, founder of Latino Outdoors, who discussed the impact of racism on access to green space, the response of environmental organizations and how to engage in an anti-racism practice. Session #2 (“Local Leaders Take Action”) included a panel of local activists discussing regional environmental justice and equity issues and steps community leaders are taking to change environmental inequity.
