Fall Seed Spreading and Tree Walks Day

Where: Gillson Park Bird Habitat

Join Go Green Wilmette as we enjoy autumn in Gillson Park. For the last habitat workday of the season in the Park’s Bird Habitat, we will celebrate the space by gathering seeds from several species of native plants growing there. We will spread the seeds in bare areas of the habitat or in places where invading plants are threatening to take over. Take guided walks through the habitat to learn what seeds to gather. Learn to identify trees from local experts and visit exhibits about native plants, insects and the birds that visit the habitat. Apple cider and treats will be provided! This is a family friendly event, so bring everyone and enjoy the day.
