Come branch out with sustainable sisters at Horigan Urban Forest Products in Skokie. “Wood” be a great place to connect!
Our host Erika Horigan will explain how they recycle urban trees. When a tree needs to be removed because of damage, disease, or whatnot, instead of going to firewood or mulch, they turn it into quality hardwood lumber. Come check out their warehouse and salvaged lumber products used by artists, cabinet makers, and home designers.
Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
